RELICS
Relics is a series of small installations made from papier-mâché, paint, and found or reclaimed toys. Through an apparently playful and naïve visual language, these works explore complex themes related to existence, emptiness, loss, sacrifice, and fragility.
Each installation is mounted on a wooden frame that functions as a small vessel of memory. Within it coexist fragments from childhood storybooks, pages from ancient texts, paintings, and other materials that enter into dialogue with the sculptural composition, expanding its narrative.
The project's title refers precisely to this notion of the relic: modest objects that preserve a symbolic and emotional charge, small repositories of memories, knowledge, and lived experience. Rather than autonomous works, these pieces are fragments of an intimate cartography, contemporary relics that transform memory into something that can be carried with us — a collective unconscious where artist and viewer share an experience of transformation.
